The Lawrence County Register of Deeds has launched a new Land Notification System! This system alerts property owners whenever a document is recorded in the Register of Deeds office under their personal or business name.

How it works:
To participate, simply create an account and select your preferred notification method (Email or Text). Each time an alert is triggered, you will receive the recording date and the type of document filed.

Important Setup Tip:
Alerts are triggered by the name(s) you set up for the alert. Be sure to include the name used when you took ownership of the property. You can create multiple alerts for personal names, business names, or trusts.

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety has revoked all active pile burn permits across the Black Hills effective today, ending the pile burn season early due to dry conditions, active wildfires, and elevated fire danger. If you have recently burned debris piles, check them immediately and make sure they are completely extinguished.
