The Deadwood Alive troupe is here to entertain. From Main Street Deadwood shootouts to a guided walking tour, there's something for visitors of all ages to enjoy, year-round. During the summer (Mid-May - late September) there are three Shootouts on Historic Deadwood Main Street. They take place every day except Sunday. The shooting of Wild Bill is held inside Saloon No.10 at 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:00

pm, and 7:00 pm. The Gunslingers host the street shootouts, they are at 2:00 pm in front of the Wild Bill Bar, 4:00 pm in front of the Bodega, and 6:00 pm in front of the Historic Franklin Hotel. The shootouts and street shows are FREE to watch. The Trial of Jack McCall for the shooting of Wild Bill Hickok. The Capture of Jack McCall is at 7:35 pm in front of the Saloon No.10 on Deadwood Main Street. The Trial of Jack McCall starts at 8:00 pm. Families Welcome! The show is dark on Sunday. There is a nominal fee for the show. Tickets can be purchased by clicking on the button at the top of this page or by calling 1-800-344-8826. There will be no shows on Sundays or during the following events: (Wild Bill Days, Sturgis Rally, and Kool Deadwood Nites). Be sure to witness the Trial of Jack McCall Friday and Saturday evening. Experience shootouts at 2:00, 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. today and tomorrow. Check out the Tomfoolery shows, A Rootin’ Tootin’ Card Game for Kids, and many other street shows. These shows won't be back until summer 2026 so take them in while you can.

Welcome to the Deadwood Jam! There are some schedule changes due to this event. There will be no Walking Tour, Stagecoach or carriage rides today and tomorrow.

The fall schedule kicks off on Friday, September 26 and will take place every Friday and Saturday through November 22. Catch three shootouts, Monday - Saturday this week to close out the 2025 summer season! Experience the melee of free, historically accurate reenactments of Deadwood’s unusual gunfights and unbelievable affrays with Deadwood Alive.

2:00 p.m. - “The Strange Tale of David Lunt” – Outlaw Square / Franklin Hotel **On Saturday, September 20, this shootout will take place in front of Big Dipper / Berg Jewelry due to the Deadwood Jam.
4:00 p.m. - “Showdown on Gold Street” – Big Dipper / Berg Jewelry
6:00 p.m. - “The Boone May/Prescott Web Altercation” – Wild Bill Bar / Celebrity Hotel

*Due to the Deadwood Jam there will be no evening carriage rides Thursday or Friday night this week and no Stagecoach rides on Friday and Saturday.

🤠 Patrol the streets of Historic Deadwood with some of the first lawdogs with the "Lawman's Patrol: Guided Walking Tour". They will guide you through time on this multi-stop walking tour of the National Historic Landmark District. 🤠

This tour requires walking, long periods of standing and navigating stairs and must be booked 24 hours in advance, $15 per person. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. Due to the Deadwood Jam this weekend, this tour will run Monday - Thursday this week, 12:00 p.m., starts at Midnight Star on Historic Main Street. You can still take this incredible tour during the fall season, Fridays and Saturdays, starting September 26.
