Election Day Fundraisers

Date: November 8, 2022

Location: Marshall Town Hall, Deansboro, NY

We will be having a book give-a-way (Donations greatly appreciated!), a bake sale, and a chance raffle with a great variety of items and baskets.

We are reaching out to ask for volunteers to help out on Election Day. We are hoping to get enough people to stay open from 6:30 am - 8:00 pm (ish). We are aiming to request at least a 2 hour interval, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Greetings to all family and friends! I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and have a safe and enjoyable holiday season.

I volunteer and am very active with the local Deansboro Library & Reading Center. Starting on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 for 5 days we are having an Online Bookfair as a fundraiser.

If you are thinking of purchasing books, CD's, calendars, or any other item available from Barnes & Noble (as gifts or just in preparation for our long winter), please consider doing so on Tuesday, December 8th through Saturday, December 12th.
For Online purchases please visit bn.com/bookfairs to support us from 12/08/20 to 12/12/20 and input the Bookfair ID # 12604922 upon checkout. If you are signed in to an existing account, from the Checkout screen you should click on the Change button in the Payment section to get the full payment screen and the Bookfair ID field.
Purchases can also be made in any Barnes & Noble Store. Prior to making your instore purchases please indicate that you are supporting the Deansboro Library & Reading Center and provide the Bookfair Event ID # 12604922.
A percentage of the net sale will be contributed to our organization. You do not get charged extra!

It would be greatly appreciated if you would please pass this information on to all of your friends and relatives.

Find a Barnes & Noble Bookfair near you or host one at your school! Bookfairs are a great way to fundraise and get both kids and adults more involved in reading.

Great news! The Deansboro Library & Reading Center has reopened!!
Feel free to stop by to see us to peruse our new books and find a new read or just to say “hi”. Please remember to use common sense with social distancing and masks while you are inside the library.

Hi all,
This is to inform you that the Deansboro Library & Reading Center will be closed until further notice. We are trying to do our part in breaking the Corona Virus cycle and help to keep our patrons and staff safe. If you would like to get out a few books, you can contact one of these 3 people who would be willing to open the library for an individual to check out books that can then be returned to our drop box.

Today and tomorrow are the last two days to make purchases towards the Deansboro Library & Reading Center’s Bookfair. It can be done at any Barnes & Noble or online through B&N.

For those who are local to the New Hartford Barnes & Noble:
On December 14th (9am-10pm) at the Bookfair the Deansboro Library & Reading Center will also sponsor some events such as —
- Cheesecake/Dessert Sale and a Library Special at the Food Cafe (All day)
- local author, Michelle Missy Boehlert will be talking about her book, Skyler’s Travels - Learning To Fly, as well as selling and signing purchased books (10am- 5pm)
- A Youth Crafts and Card Creating Table (All day)
- Diana Koester will be doing a clay modeling demonstration including a hands on activity for youth and adults (2pm-5pm)
- Free Gift Wrapping after purchases!
- A Raffle Table (Chocolate Basket and an original painting from local artist, Diana Koester) (All day)
- More events such as a visit from local musicians, holiday/cartoon characters, etc may be included (Times TBD)

Thank you to everyone who assisted or made purchases last month at our Annual Barnes & Noble Bookfair! It was a success!!
The Chocolate Basket was won by Ken Fasolo and the Nook Tablet was won by Jerry P***n who donated it back to be used in a future Take-A-Chance.
