Council Chair Hassan M. Ahmad A great city is measured by the quality of the lives of the residents who live in it. This is where I met my wife and together, we started a family.

I have been a proud resident of the City of Dearborn Heights for over fifteen years. I have a beautiful daughter who is the apples of my eyes and two boys who attend the Dearborn Heights Public schools. I also work as a real estate broker with Remax Leading Edge in Dearborn Heights. Being the proud product of this city, I have come to know the strides we have accomplished in the past and the areas

of improvement that need to be addressed to move our city to the next level. I felt encouraged to run for City Council to help advance the city and ensure our residents are provided with the best customer service they deserve.

The Dearborn Heights City Council met on March 24 and approved several key items, including a City Charter revision which will go before voters later this year, updated Tree Ordinance fees, and the reactivation of the City Beautiful Commission.

The next City Council Meeting will be tonight, April 14th, at 6 PM.

Today, The Dearborn Heights City Council unanimously passed a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the war in the Middle East.🕊️

This resolution was supported by the entire City Council, Mayor Mo Baydoun & all elected city officials, reflecting the voices of many residents who have deep ties to the region and are impacted by the ongoing humanitarian crisis. 🌍🤝

Our city is calling on the United States government to pursue every diplomatic effort to secure a permanent ceasefire, protect civilians, and work toward peace. 🇺🇸🕊️
