This Memorial Day, we pause to honor all who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others. Looking back on the Dearborn Heights Police Honor Guard’s time at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, we are reminded that the legacy of heroes like Corporal Jason Makowski never fades. Today, we stand in gratitude for the fallen, the brave, and the families they left behind. Their names are etched in stone, and their service is forever woven into the fabric of our community.
