Trustee Adel Mozip

Trustee Adel Mozip Adel Mozip is a board member at the Dearborn Board of Education. Adel aspires and advocates for quality education for every student.

My main goal for becoming a board member: Strengthen our public schools system and get our students ready for college and beyond. Background Info:
The road has been challenging for public schools in this decade. Public schools nowadays have to compete with other schools (charter, private) to attract students while providing them with quality education amidst decreasing state funds. Vision:
While I

believe the purpose of a business is to create and maintain customers, I affirm that the mission of public schools is to attract and maintain students while providing top quality education. Therefore, I strongly believe in the mission of the Dearborn Public Schools district which emphasizes the partnership with families and the community which leads to high student achievement. While I value high student achievement as the #1 objective of this board; it’s also important that we provide a rewarding work atmosphere for teachers and students to thrive. Great teachers will yield great students. What I bring:
My involvement within the community has vastly shaped my leadership skills and I more than qualified and prepared to serve on the Board of Education. I bring my relationships with students, teachers, and staff that I have built over the years along with my business background. I also consider myself a representative of a huge segment of the district population that has never had a voice in this board. My four main goals for the district in the upcoming term if I am elected to be the a board member are to increase student academic achievement across the board, analyze and improve college readiness for our high school students, utilize technology to be more pro-active with parents and community, and bridge the academic gap between the under-performing and over-achieving students. We can achieve these goals with a balanced budget and fiscally responsible.

On Wednesday August 26th, at Peace Park West, Trustee Adel Mozip officially launched his campaign for re-election to the Dearborn Public Schools Board of Education. Family, neighbors, teachers, and local officials packed the pavilion.

Trustee Mozip is a district kid coming through Fordson High School and dual enrollment at Henry Ford College; and now his two sons Omar and Malik are following his footsteps.

Thank you Shadi Maweri Shadi Mawari for emceeing, Mrs. Angela Poulos, former Councilwoman Leslie Herrick Leslie Herrick, Board President Jamal Aljahmi Trustee Jamal Aljahmi, and Council President Pro Tem Kamal Alsawafy Kamal Alsawafy spoke in support for Trustee Mozip.. Integrity isn’t a slogan. It’s what Trustee Mozip is all about.

Next term the laser focus on proficiency, teachers who can speak up without retaliation, a board that holds itself accountable, real relationships with parents, school buildings that match the future our students deserve, an independent, honest vote at the table.

Three full board seats are on the November 3 ballot. We’re taking none of those votes for granted.

Give what you can: time, donate or talent. Tell 5–10 people. Then vote. This isn’t about one person. This is about all of us. It’s about the kids in Mrs. Poulos’s classroom — and every classroom in Dearborn.

They came with their N**i flag. They yelled. They agitated. They hoped for trouble. They left with the city and the community largely unscathed. Dearborn did not merely endure the latest anti-Muslim "protest" by far-right agitators; it has emerged stronger and more united. What the "protester

Parents and students - another reminder that there are new rules this school year regarding technology. It is now state law and district policy that cell phones and other smart devices are NOT allowed during instruction time. This includes smart watches and smart glasses, like Meta. These devices also cannot be used in any sensitive areas like restrooms and locker rooms.
