Trustee Adel Mozip

Trustee Adel Mozip Adel Mozip is a board member at the Dearborn Board of Education. Adel aspires and advocates for quality education for every student.

My main goal for becoming a board member: Strengthen our public schools system and get our students ready for college and beyond. Background Info:
The road has been challenging for public schools in this decade. Public schools nowadays have to compete with other schools (charter, private) to attract students while providing them with quality education amidst decreasing state funds. Vision:
While I

believe the purpose of a business is to create and maintain customers, I affirm that the mission of public schools is to attract and maintain students while providing top quality education. Therefore, I strongly believe in the mission of the Dearborn Public Schools district which emphasizes the partnership with families and the community which leads to high student achievement. While I value high student achievement as the #1 objective of this board; it’s also important that we provide a rewarding work atmosphere for teachers and students to thrive. Great teachers will yield great students. What I bring:
My involvement within the community has vastly shaped my leadership skills and I more than qualified and prepared to serve on the Board of Education. I bring my relationships with students, teachers, and staff that I have built over the years along with my business background. I also consider myself a representative of a huge segment of the district population that has never had a voice in this board. My four main goals for the district in the upcoming term if I am elected to be the a board member are to increase student academic achievement across the board, analyze and improve college readiness for our high school students, utilize technology to be more pro-active with parents and community, and bridge the academic gap between the under-performing and over-achieving students. We can achieve these goals with a balanced budget and fiscally responsible.

Today we paused, we remembered, and we honored. ❤️🤍💙

Dearborn High School came together for a powerful Memorial Day Remembrance in our auditorium. We stood in gratitude for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so we could live, learn, and dream freely. Our keynote speaker was State of Michigan Secretary of State Deputy Mr. Aghogho Edevbie.

To our fallen heroes — from the battlefields of yesterday to the ones who continue to protect us today — your courage will never be forgotten.

A special thank you to our Dearborn Police Honor Guard, our students, staff, and veteran community for making this ceremony so meaningful. Special thanks to councilman Ken Paris for always attending these solemn events.

Freedom is not free.
We will remember them. Always.

✨ What an unforgettable night on May 1st! ✨
First, I had the absolute honor of attending the Communities In Schools Leadership in Education Dinner. The energy, the stories, and the commitment to our students were truly phenomenal. So inspired by everyone doing the hard work to lift up the next generation. ❤️‍🔥
Then I headed straight to the Yemeni American Benevolent Association’s Annual Scholarship Dinner — a beautiful celebration of community, culture, and investing in our youth through education. Seeing so many bright Yemeni-American students being recognized made my heart full. 🇾🇪
Grateful to be part of nights like these that remind us why education and community matter. Proud to support both organizations that make daily impact on our students.
