Primary August election
The Yemeni American Michigan Democratic Caucus (YAMDC) has announced its endorsements for four key races for the August 3 primary local election. The endorsements were announced by the chair of the YAMDC Selection Committee Chair, Dr. Adeeb Mozip, during the caucus meeting on June 9th. The caucus meeting followed months of search, personal interviews with that the candidates that submitted the applications on time.
The YAMDC conducted a series of endorsement interviews with candidates for various offices over the last several weeks. Candidates had to submit an application request asking for an endorsement and agree for a personal interview. Candidates must obtain two-thirds of the members of the YAMDC Selection Committee. "We would like to thank all of the candidates that sought our endorsement and the members of the committee," said Dr. Adeeb Mozip, the chair of the YAMDC Selection Committee. "The committee had a lengthy and extensive process that included an application and a personal interview. We had a robust discussion with all candidates and among committee members to make sure we endorse people that align with the values and mission of the YemeniAmerican Michigan Democratic Caucus" said Mozip.

Abdulhakem Alsadah, the Caucus Chair said “We ask the voters in our communities to go out and vote and to consider supporting those candidates financially, and to volunteer for their campaigns and encourage their families and friends to do the same. We are proud of the fact that the Caucus and it’s selection committee worked hard and did their due diligence to create a professional process that insured fairness and equal opportunity for all the candidates that participated”.
