The City of Dearborn Department of Public Works, 2951 Greenfield, is hosting a free tire drop-off event for residents on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The free service is available to Dearborn residents. Proof of residency is required. Each household can dispose of up to four tires per residential address.

UPDATE: The repair at the City's Dog Park is now complete.

Original post: Primary power line down at Dearborn Dog Park; multiple others down due to storm (06/12/2026) 🚨

The primary power line at the City's Dog Park, 16301 Michigan Ave, along with multiple additional lines, are down following storms on June 11. The Dog Park is closed until further notice.

Stay away from any downed lines and call 911 to report them. Call 311 with non-emergency questions or concerns.

Following last night's storm on June 11, 2026, DPW crews are actively assessing and addressing fallen trees and storm-related debris throughout the community. Priority is being given to blocked roadways, public safety hazards, and areas impacting emergency access.

Residents are encouraged to report fallen trees and hazardous conditions by calling 311. We appreciate your patience as crews work to clear affected areas as quickly and safely as possible.

City of Dearborn Flag Day Ceremony 2026 🇺🇸

The City of Dearborn recently installed an official U.S. flag retirement box at the Dearborn Administrative Center, located at the east entrance of 16901 Michigan Ave. allowing residents to properly retire faded, torn, or worn American flags in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code.

This new initiative takes place in addition to the city’s annual Flag Day ceremony, held in consultation with the Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council, on June 14 at 2 p.m. at Ford Field Park, 22051 Cherry Hill St.

Cedarland Bakery transformed ✅

As part of the ongoing Warren Avenue Facade Improvement Program, Cedarland Bakery and community leaders recently celebrated exterior facade upgrades.

The WFIP is part of an overall investment of more than $30 million in grants secured by the City for Warren Ave, focusing on facade improvement, pedestrian safety, infrastructure, and placemaking.
