At the Cultural Compound of Imam Sadr Foundation- Tyre, Papyrus Atelier organized a training for a group of women, mothers of girls from Rihab Zahraa Mabarra. Through the training, participants learned the art of paper recycling and how to transform recycled paper into innovative handmade products, including notebooks, and cards.
The training was part of the project “Empowering Communities through Recycled Paper Arts,” implemented within the framework of the Creative and Cultural Industries Support Programme.
The experience brought together learning, creativity, empowerment, and sustainability, equipping participants with practical skills that can open pathways to production and greater economic and social participation. It also contributes to environmental sustainability by creatively and productively repurposing recyclable materials.
This activity is supported by the UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund and the UNESCO-Aschberg Programme for Artists and Cultural Professionals, with the participation of France through a voluntary contribution to the Lebanon Post-Conflict and Disaster special account.
