Beginning in August 2026, FlixBus will offer twice‑daily service, six days a week, from the downtown Senator Severns Transit Center at 353 E. William Street. Local departure times will be 12:45 p.m. and 7:55 p.m.
With stops in Chicago and St. Louis, riders will soon have convenient connections from Decatur to destinations across the United States. Chicago stops include the Chicago Bus Station at 630 W. Harrison Street and the 95th/Dan Ryan station at 15 W. 95th Street. The St. Louis stop is located at the St. Louis Bus Station at 430 S. 15th Street. Additional stops along the route include:
- Kankakee
- Champaign
- Springfield
- Carbondale
- Paducah (KY)
- Clarksville (TN)
- Nashville (TN)
- Atlanta (GA)
Once all details are finalized, we will share the official start date and information on how to purchase tickets. This agreement comes at no cost to the City and is expected to generate $3,000 annually, plus a percentage of ticket sales sold at the transit center.
