President Trump outlined elements of his proposed “Great Healthcare Plan,” stating the goal is to stop payments to large insurance companies and instead direct the funds to individuals.

“You buy your own health insurance, and you have money left over. You end up with better health insurance,” Trump said, describing a system in which subsidies would go straight to consumers rather than insurers.

Trump: “We will pass the great healthcare plan to stop all payments to big insurance companies and give the money directly to the people—you buy your own health insurance, and you have money left over. You end up with better health insurance.”

Our fallen crewmember late Leslie Washington is currently making his last flight home with the USWFS - Alaska jumpship aircraft, with his fellow Noorvik crewmembers.

The flight departed a little after 1100. We are unsure on exact ETA to Noorvik, but it should be sometime between 1300-1400 (1-2 pm).

In addition our crewmembers from Selawik and Ambler are also on their way home via agency aircraft.

Thank you to all at the U.S. Wildland Fire Service, the people of Minnesota and all those around the country that have helped honor late Leslie for his service and bring home.

Prayers to the family, those in Noorvik and the Northwest Arctic as they lay him to rest in coming days.

As students head back to the classroom, we're asking every driver to help keep Tennessee's roads safe.

🚸 Remember:
🛑 Stop and yield to pedestrians at crosswalks and intersections.
🛑 Never pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop arm.
🛑 Obey crossing guards.
🛑 Stay alert, children can be unpredictable near schools, neighborhoods, and bus stops.
🛑 Never pass a vehicle stopped for pedestrians.

A few extra seconds of patience can save a life. Slow down, stay focused, and help us ensure every student arrives safely to and from school.

The Payette National Forest is mourning the tragic loss of Luke Befumo, a McCall Smokejumper, who accidentally drowned on July 27 while enjoying some off-duty downtime with friends on Payette Lake. We are coordinating response efforts to provide support to Luke's family, fellow Smokejumpers, and loved ones impacted by this tragic accident.
