If you lost a cell phone while at the courthouse please contact us on Facebook Messenger or call the Mayor’s Office at 423 334-5850 on Monday June 22nd. The cell phone was discovered lying on top of the modular mailboxes on the North Lawn facing Abel Avenue.

At 8:30 am EST we experienced an electrical outage at the Decatur Convenience Center. VEC is on the scene and we expect the outage to be repaired by 9:30 am EST.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Don’t forget that all convenience centers will be closed on Friday June 19, 2026 in observance of Juneteenth. Centers will reopen on Saturday June 20th.

If you are in favor of packaged liquor sales in Meigs County please consider signing one of the petitions. If enough signatures are obtained a referendum will be added to the November 3rd Ballot.
