Last week, NARCOG partnered with Cullman County Economic Development - CCED to put on "NARCOG Day," a day to learn about the services and resources available to communities and individuals.

This vendor-style event provided an opportunity for local elected officials and municipalities to learn about our programs, ask questions, and meet the staff.

A huge thank you to North Alabama Agriplex for allowing us to use their facilities for this event, and to CCED for their help in making this possible.

We hope to do events like these often within our three counties to help everyone understand how NARCOG can help!

Our Aging Specialists Deann and Cynthia worked with Hands Across Decatur and Shower Up earlier this week to share what resources NARCOG offers and how we can help.

We appreciate HAD and their unwavering support for the unhoused community. We look forward to partnering further and seeing how we can help the community!

Congratulations to NARCOG Ombudsman Tiffany Prince!

Recently, at the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program Statewide Training in Montgomery, Tiffany received an award “in recognition of her dedicated service and advocacy to long-term care residents in the NARCOG region” from State Ombudsman Virginia Moore-Bell. While receiving her award, it was also noted that Tiffany provides excellent documentation with exceptional awareness of the Older Americans Act.

NARCOG is proud to have Tiffany amongst our team, and we know she will do a fantastic job continuing to serve our Region.

Daffney and Michael had too much fun at the Hartselle Health Fair last week! The group that put this together raised over $7,000 for senior centers around Morgan County, and had over 200 older adults come through to learn about the resources available to them!

We love getting out and about to serve out community 🐠🦀🐙
