As a Foundation, we are always looking for meaningful and tangible ways to support our educators. Free 2 Teach is helping us do just that by providing classroom supplies and ensuring our teachers have the resources they need to serve our students well!

A special thank you to Senator Arthur Orr for his continued investment in and support of teachers and staff throughout Decatur City Schools and all of Morgan County. We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and excited to see the lasting impact it will have in classrooms across our community!

We are excited to welcome Amy Jo Fogle to the Decatur City Schools Foundation! Amy Jo has stepped into the role of Program Coordinator here at the foundation and brings experience in writing, event planning, graphic design, and professional communication. She graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in May of 2026 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and a minor in Technical Writing.

As a Sunday school teacher in her local church, Amy Jo is passionate about investing in younger generations and showing up for her community. She shared that she is most excited for the opportunity to encourage teachers and students and support their growth throughout the school year.
