The Criminal Justice Reform Institute, LLC Criminal Justice Reform Advocacy and Education We strive to put forth a great effort in our research and to work hard for those who are ostracized from society.

Here at The Criminal Justice Reform Institute our mission is to advocate and challenge past and present laws that are cumbersome to individuals that are transitioning back into society. The laws that are enacted have a profound effect on individuals transitioning from prison to the community making it difficult for them to reestablish themselves. Prohibiting such individuals from meaningful employ

ment with the opportunity to move forward in life and excluding them from the basic human necessities such as housing, food, and education injure us all. The Criminal Justice Reform Institute's purpose is to educate policy makers on the punitive laws that are enacted. We must dispel the discriminatory laws and practices toward individuals with a past criminal record and make sure they have an equal chance at becoming productive citizens again. By doing so, the Institute will conduct research accompanied with empirical evidence that will assist us in our fight to change these discriminatory laws that are not within sound reason. The Criminal Justice Reform Institute looks to restore the use of the terms Justice and Reform and to make those individuals affected feel whole and human again.
