What do you like about your home town, THIS!

This afternoon I was in the drive thru line waiting to partake in Whooper Wednesday and I look over and see this Decatur Police Officer changing a flat tire for 2 elderly ladies.
With all the negative posts I see on Facebook about Police Officers I thought this picture should be shared showing this young officer helping the community.
Great Job Decatur Indiana PD keep up the good work.

Difficult decision I'm sure....

We, the Berne Chamber of Commerce board of directors - in discussion with the Adams County Health Department, regarding CDC guidelines - have made the difficult decision to cancel our Swiss Days 2020 Festival scheduled for July 23, 24, and 25.

The decision was not made lightly, but out of an abundance of caution and concern for our community, vendors, entertainers, volunteers, and attendees. With the amount of preparation and moving parts that our festival entails, it would be nearly impossible to ensure that it would be safe to celebrate together July 23rd-25th. We have been monitoring the situation over the past several weeks, and we believe that this cancellation is the right decision to do our part in flattening the curve and to keep our community safe.

While we are disappointed that we will not be able to hold our annual festival, we hope to find alternatives to celebrate our city, community, and Swiss heritage when it is safe to do so.

Our team will be contacting each vendor, entertainer, sponsor, and organizer to provide information regarding refunds.
