😃😔🥴 Feelings in Counseling

For a feeling identification activity, the 1st graders played musical chairs with an emotional twist. The last student standing without a chair was asked a question about their emotions:

How are you feeling right now? Can you share a story about a time you felt happy? What’s the funniest thing that has happened today?

Once they shared, they got to return to the game. The kids enjoyed sharing their experiences so much, they started trying to be the last one standing.

🔢 Math in Motion! 🔢

Students in Mrs. Couch’s class had fun exploring numbers larger than 300 using base-ten blocks! They created their own numbers and then participated in a scoot activity, moving around the room and using their math skills to guess the numbers their classmates had built. What a fun, hands-on way to practice place value! 🧮💙💛
