Guess what time it is?! Its monthly base safety meeting day! This month we discussed safe scene landing and night vision goggle usage. We celebrated our fearless leader's 10yr Anniversary with Air Evac, Congratulations Michael Cosentino! We had some education about antihypertensive medications and even got some hands-on refresher training with our Kendrick Traction Device. Keep your eyes out for our upcoming PR events as we look forward to slightly cooler weather, helpfully 🤞

This week our newest paramedic is learning from our crews and preparing for Critical Care Academy next week. Part of his training includes a mock patient flight which he successfully completed this evening with our Base Clinical Lead Jennifer Ansley. Mock patient flights allow our new team members to learn the logistics and safety of how each call is ran in a low-stress, slow and steady situation. Nate will be ready to take on his first patient flight very soon! Thank you to Zach, our mock patient, who played his part well and got to see a nice view on the way to the airport 🚁

Our hearts and prayers are with our friends at Sacred Cross EMS and their families during this tragic time. 🙏♥️

A fund has been set up for a local first responder who lost his wife and two sons in a house fire Monday night.

Herstle Renfroe has dedicated more than a decade to serving in fire and emergency medical services, including the past eight years with Sacred Cross EMS, and a volunteer firefighter with the Palo Pinto Volunteer Fire Department.

100% of the proceeds from this campaign will go directly to Herstle to help with burial arrangements for Alexis, Alekzander and Cody, as well as other immediate and ongoing expenses resulting from this devastating loss.
