PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Decatur County Industrial Development Board (IDB) has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Decatur County Chamber of Commerce Community Room at 443 Virginia Avenue South, Parsons, TN 38363.

• Beer Board - Friday, August 28, 2026 at 5:00 PM
• Budget Committee - Friday, August 28, 2026 at 5:15 PM
• Commission – Monday, August 31, 2026 at 6:00 PM. A 15-minute Public Input session will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by the meeting. Anyone interested in speaking should contact the Decatur County Mayor’s office at 731-852-2131 or sign in 15 minutes before the meeting is called to order. (Please see guidelines at www.decaturcountytn.gov.)

TDOT/THP has advised the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office that the new traffic lights at I-40 Exit 126 are now in effect.

Through August 26: The lights will be flashing only.

Beginning August 26: The lights will become fully operational.

Please slow down, stay alert, watch for changing traffic patterns, and follow the signals when traveling through Exit 126.

If you are in need of office furniture, we have several desk, bookshelves and etc. at the Decatur County Fairgrounds Building. The furniture is not perfect, but very usable.

FREE—MUST COME AND PICKUP TONIGHT 8/10/2026 until 9:00 P.M. First come/first serve, no holds.

This is not county property. It was donated to the county from the SWHRA after a remodeling.
