Any update on when people are going to get power back? It has been 40+ hours in some areas..
Hi! We moved here this past fall and have really enjoyed being here. One thing we feel we have to offer to our community is our passion for being healthy, naturally, CPR classes and helping women feel empowered by knowing their choices in labor and birth! We will be teaching our first FREE class at the Decatur County Library on March 5th from 6-8. Please feel free to message me personally or on our Let's Talk About Birth page for more information/questions! https://www.facebook.com/events/329149084365013/
Does anyone have any information about the historical history of Haney School Road? Is there (or was there) a school on it ? I was just curious because my great, great, great grandfather is buried somewhere in that area, and he was a Haney. Is Keeton Cemetery still being used today ?
great to see these pictures....I haven't been there for decades....love the movie night and Christmas lighting too
I was born there in June 1956 and have only been back to Decaturvill one time in 1986. I was born in a barn out on RR2. My father J.L. Davis was from there. His father Dee Davis, brother Glenn Davis and a sister named Helen but for life of me I can't remember her married last name. Is there still a little store called 'Poodles Palace'? I still have a coozie from that store from when I visited back in '86. I have a sister that visited in the late'90's and she said that most of the beautiful roads we used to travel, the winding roads and hills were not there anymore that in it basically all highways. I hate to hear that because I just loved all of the trees and hills. Well that is my message to those who lives there in Decaturville, my home town.
