⚠️ There is a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe thunderstorms today into this evening evening over much of the Mid-South. Damaging winds are the main threat with large hail as a secondary threat. Two rounds of storms are expected. The first round will occur this morning into early this afternoon. The second round will occur later this afternoon into this evening.

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening. The greatest risk is over northeast Arkansas into northwest Tennessee. Confidence remains low at this time.

A Slight Risk for excessive rainfall exists north of the Tennessee and Mississippi state line today. Spurts of heavy rainfall will move over these areas through this evening. A localized flash flooding threat exists.🌧️

We have a Slight Risk for excessive rainfall mainly over NE AR through tomorrow morning. Several bands of heavy rainfall are expected over these areas with coverage increasing as we move through the afternoon hours.🌧️⛈️

A warm front will lift north tomorrow, potentially giving enough lift to a severe storm or two, mainly along the Tennesee River. If severe storms do materialize, a damaging wind threat may develop, and a tornado can't be ruled out.⛈️

FEMA disaster relief is set up at the Emergency Management office, 403 West Highland St, Decaturville, TN 38329. If you or anyone you know had damage during the ice storm that insurance didn’t cover or didn’t cover fully, come by to see if you qualify for assistance. Almost a hundred citizens from Decatur County have registered, and several have already started to receive money. The deadline to apply is fast approaching. FEMA will be here until Saturday, May 23rd; they are here from 7am to 7pm.
