UERPC staff headed to Lansing earlier this week on a staff wellness outing to visit the Driftless Area Education and Visitor Center. What a cool spot! Located right along the Mississippi River (the views!) with three levels of exhibits, it is one of 75 nature centers across the state. The center has had visitors from all 50 states and 50 different countries- how about that!! It’s open 7 days a week with FREE admission.

Special thanks to County Conservation Director Ross Geerdes for welcoming us and talking with us about the center, ACCB and a few of his favorite spots throughout Allamakee County (p.s.- he couldn’t pick just a few, he’s a big fan of the whole place!).
