Upper Iowa River The Upper Iowa River is a 156-mile-long tributary of the Mississippi River in the far northeastern corner of Iowa.

This page is managed by the Upper Iowa River Alliance a 501(c)3 non-profit that is working to (a) promote and support responsible recreational use of the Upper Iowa River; (b) educate the public concerning issues impacting the quality, state and/or future well-being of the Upper Iowa River and its associated ecological communities and recreational opportunities; (c) attract substantial support fro

m public, private and individual sources and receive contributions and grants and to hold, administer, convert, invest and reinvest, and manage such contributions and grants; (d) provide support for projects that promote, protect and/or enhance the ecological sustainability and recreational opportunities associated with the Upper Iowa River;

Hello folks it's Kathleen with the river update. The river level is very low. We stop putting our boats at out when Bluffton reaches 3 feet. Right now it is at 3.08. All you people out there do a rain dance! We need it. ๏ฟผ
