Big news for Dedham! The Planning Board has approved three major development projects that will bring new housing, infrastructure improvements, jobs, and dining options to our community.

Here's what's coming:
▶️ 2 Bridge Street: 26 condos AND a 60-seat restaurant on the Charles River
▶️ 25 Allied Drive: 160 residential units (21 affordable) converting the former Hilton hotel, plus a new pedestrian connection to the Dedham Corporate Center MBTA Commuter Rail Station
▶️ Dedham Plaza: First Watch, a fresh breakfast, brunch restaurant with 157 seats, coming to 725 Providence Highway

Together, these projects are projected to generate over an estimated $275,000 in new annual property tax revenue for the Town.

Planning Board Chair John Bethoney added:

"Our objective is to ensure that all developments not only comply with applicable regulations, but also enhance both our local economy and the overall quality of life of our community. In this case, these projects successfully achieve such balance, and our objectives."

Recent grant award still has us excited!

📜 Dedham has recently been selected as one of only 12 recipients statewide to receive funding through the Massachusetts Community Biodiversity Grant Program! The $30,395 award will transform a one-acre, Town-owned parcel at 21 Sawmill Lane into a neighborhood park and pollinator habitat that will feature a native wildflower walking trail along Mother Brook, a rain garden, educational signage, and a free community seed-sharing station. More details and a project timeline coming soon, so please stay tuned!

🎨 Now Let's Talk Art!
As part of this project, the Town is partnering with Mother Brook Arts & Community Center on a nature-themed art walk on Sawmill Bridge. Local artists of all ages are invited and encouraged to submit 2'×2' prints celebrating nature, pollinators, local wildlife, and the Dedham landscape.

✅ Installation expected by end of June 2026
✅ Selected artists receive a $125 Mother Brook gift card
