On this International Overdose Awareness Day, Sheriff Patrick McDermott and the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office are grateful for the hard work of those dedicated to saving the lives of people at risk from substance use.
Massachusetts has seen recent success in this effort, but major challenges remain. Hundreds of lives are lost each year and the ripple effect on family, friends, and our communities is far reaching.
The Norfolk County Sheriff's Office Medications for Opioid Use Disorder program saw a significant increase in patients treated last year. Our MOUD program is a model for other correctional facilities.
Our H.O.P.E. Center stands ready to help those in the community who may be at risk and in need of assistance with substance use. You can learn more about The HOPE Center's support services by visiting hopecenterma.org
