On the top floor is an Auditorium/Theater that has held a range of events. In the late 1890's through 1949 the Auditorium was a place for Musical Concerts, Fancy Balls, Drama Productions, Dance Recitals, High School Graduations, Minstrel Shows, Fairs and Local Events. It was once called the “Jewel” of Deep River, but over time the Auditorium/Theater was used less. In 1976 The Deep River Town Hall
Restoration Association, Inc was initiated and enthusiastically led by Emma L. The project to restore both the Auditorium/Theater and the Town Hall began. The Restoration and the Town of Deep River are currently working together to shine the“Jewel” and give it back to the community to be a place for social, cultural and town events. May 2013 marks the completion of the Deep River Town Hall Auditorium Restoration project, a project of love lasting over thirty years. It is the committees goal to open the auditorium and let it be the social hub of the community as it once was. "Preserving a Legacy to Enhance the Future" -DRTHAC
