Learning never stops!
Fairmont Junior High recently hosted the DPISD Social Studies Conference, bringing together 4thβ12th grade teachers from across the district for a day of collaboration, professional learning, and sharing best practices.
Teachers learned from their peers through engaging sessions focused on instructional strategies, hands-on activities, review techniques, and ideas to maximize pull-out instructional time.
Tyler Teel provided concrete examples of instructional strategies to better support our Special Education students. Laura Ladner from North Campus shared writing techniques that can be implemented by our 4th and 5th grade teachers, while Christina Bryan introduced warm-up activities with specific goals driven by student data.
The team from Deer Park Junior High also shared how their campus is utilizing AI in education and opened the discussion for educators across the district to exchange ideas and experiences.
