Thank you to Ronnie Alford, Docent of the Lone Star Flight Museum. This was a very interesting program about Rosie the Riveter. It included the history behind the Rosies, and the impact that it had during the war effort. A big thank you to the Friends for the cookies; they were much appreciated!

Looking for a way to give back to the community? The City of Deer Park is now accepting applications to fill a recent vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees!
If you’re passionate about our library services, programs, and future, this is your chance to make a direct impact.

Key Details:
• Openings: 1 volunteer position
• Term Length: 2-year term (uncompensated)
• Meeting Schedule: 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. held at the Library
• Application Deadline: October 1, 2026 (must be received by 5:00 p.m. if mailing)

How to Apply:
• Online: Visit deerparktx.gov to download the application and criminal background check form.
• In Person: Pick up a printed copy at the City Secretary’s Office (710 E. San Augustine). Notary service provided on-site!
• Submission: You can submit your notarized application via email to [email protected], in person, or by mail.
