High-Five Friday is officially back, and Shepard sure knows how to celebrate!

Our first High-Five Friday of the year brought plenty of smiles, school spirit and, of course, high fives from our Village of Deerfield partners, Deerfield Police and Deerfield Bannockburn Fire, along with familiar faces from across D109.

What a way to start a Friday and kick off another fall of High-Five Fridays across D109!

High-Five Friday is back this fall, and Shepard is kicking things off on Friday, September 4!

We’re bringing together Deerfield Police Department and Deerfield Bannockburn Fire Department to welcome students, share some smiles and start the morning with a little extra connection.

A simple high five. A great way to start the day. And one more way to keep our D109 community connected.

See you Friday, Shepard!

It started with a spark. Now, we’re ready to share what comes next.

Today, we’re proud to reveal the new look of Deerfield Public Schools District 109, a brand that reflects who we are, what connects us and the energy that moves our community forward.

New look. Same D109. A spark for what’s next.

Watch our brand reveal and see the story come to life:

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Things are about to look a little different around here…

A fresh look. A new chapter. Still unmistakably D109.

See you Thursday!

Back-to-school season is here, and safety is part of the conversation!

This Wednesday, August 12, join the Deerfield Police Department and Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Department for Community Roll Call at 7pm at Woodland Park.

Meet our School Resource Officers, ask questions about back-to-school safety and connect with the people helping keep our schools and community safe.

We hope to see some D109 families there!

Reminder! Our next Community Roll Call is just one week away!

Looking for a chance to connect with your local police officers and firefighters? Stop by Woodland Park on Wednesday, August 12, at 7:00 p.m. Bring your questions about back-to-school safety, online safety, or anything else on your mind.

School Resource Officers Lauren Maldonado and McKenzie Cherestal, along with members of the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Department, will be there to meet residents and have an open conversation in a casual setting.

🪑 Don't forget to BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair), bring the family, and stick around for DPD giveaways including back to school supplies while supplies last. We hope to see you there!

We're grateful to be part of a community that values its history and invests in its future.

Congratulations to the Village of Deerfield on a meaningful America250 time capsule ceremony last week. We're excited to see how Deerfield continues to grow over the next 50 years and for the students who will help shape its future.
