Open to children and teens in Grades 1–12 with developmental or learning disabilities in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, and Williams Counties.

💜 2026 Family Grant Applications Are Now Open! 💜

Connections for Autism and Other Disabilities is excited to offer our Family Grant, created to help families access resources, services, and supports for their children with developmental or learning disabilities.

Grant funds may help with needs such as specialized training, educational or legal consultations, independent evaluations, and other eligible supports that can make a meaningful difference for a child and family.

📍 Available to eligible families in Northwest Ohio
📅 Application Deadline: September 11, 2026

We know families often face significant costs when trying to find the right help for their children. Our goal is to help remove some of those barriers. 💜

Property taxes are a real concern for Ohio families—but eliminating them without a clear replacement puts critical local services at risk. For people with developmental disabilities, property taxes fund the majority of services provided by county boards—often 75% to 85% of local budgets. These supports help nearly 117,000 Ohioans live and thrive in their communities.

OACB is proud to have co-founded a statewide coalition that is raising awareness and educating voters about the danger of eliminating property taxes in Ohio. Watch the video below to learn what could be impacted—from disability services to schools, first responders, and senior care.
