The Defiance County General Health District (DCGHD) wishes to provide public health information and discussion of public health issues in formats utilized by the citizens of Defiance County. Facebook provides a method of providing timely information to the general public. We wish to promote a respectful format for this to occur, free of promotion of products or services for self-interest. POLICY
STATEMENT
All links posted as comments on the Defiance County General Health District page will be reviewed and may be deleted. The following content is not permitted:
-Hate speech, profanity, obscenity or vulgarity;
-Nudity in pictures;
-Defamation, name calling/and or personal attacks to a person or people, or DCGHD employee;
-Spam comments, such as the same/similar comment(s) posted repeatedly on a profile;
-Comments that would disclose protected health information;
-Comments that include promotion of events, groups, pages, websites, organizations and programs not related to or affiliated with DCGHD; or
-Other comments that DCGHD deems inappropriate. Repeated violations of DCGHD’s comment policy may cause the author to be blocked from the DCGHD page. Information posted on any of our social media platforms shouldn’t be considered medical advice and shouldn’t replace a consultation with a healthcare professional. DCGHD will make reasonable efforts to monitor and/or moderate content posted on its social media platforms; however, we cannot always respond in a timely manner to online requests for information.
