☀️ Today is the First Day of the Summer Food Service Program! ☀️

We are excited to kick off another summer of providing nutritious meals to children throughout our communities.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact Crystal, Nutrition Manager, at 419-784-2150 ext. 1130.

We are also still seeking volunteers at several of our meal sites. If you are in need of community service hours or would like to make a positive impact in your community, we'd love to hear from you!

Thank you for helping us make this program a success. We look forward to serving and feeding the children in our communities all summer long!

Defiance County Job Opening – Social Services Worker II

The Defiance County Commissioners are accepting applications for a full-time Social Services Worker II position. This 36-hour/week role includes benefits, paid holidays, OPERS retirement, health insurance, and vacation time.

Responsibilities include:
• Investigating child abuse/neglect cases
• Conducting family assessments and case management
• Working with courts, law enforcement, and community agencies
• Providing support services for families and children

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in social services, criminal justice, or related field
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Pay: $21.01 – $33.28/hour

🌞 Summer is almost here and so is the Summer Food Program!

Starting in just ONE MONTH, children can enjoy FREE nutritious meals while spending time outdoors and playing at local parks, Monday through Friday through July 24th. It’s a great way to stay active, connect with friends, and enjoy healthy food all summer long!

Looking to get involved? We’d love your help! If you or a group you’re part of would like to volunteer to lead games or activities at a Summer Food Site, please contact Crystal at 419-784-5136 ext. 1130.
