✒️The DeFuniak Springs Writers Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturday each month. This week's prompt is to write a story or poem that rewrites a scene from history. They'll also discuss article usage rights found in contracts, including first serial rights, work for hire, and more.

🎉This month's calendar is packed full of activities for all ages! Registration for summer reading programs won't begin until after kickoff (June 9th). If you aren't able to attend the Kickoff Party, you can still register and pick up reading logs at the Library through July 8th. We'll also have pop-up activities during the summer, so keep an eye on our socials. ☀️ Get ready for a rawwwring great summer! 🦖

📢Team Eglin is conducting munitions testing in the Gulf

Testing will be June 1-6 from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

All vessels are required to remain clear of the active hazard zone during these tests. This area begins approximately 10 nautical miles south of the Destin East Pass and reaches 16 nautical miles, extending northwest to Santa Rosa Island.

Advisories and local notice to mariners will be broadcast on Channel 16 and on HF upper sideband 2182 KHZ by the Eglin Joint Test and Training Operations Control Center.
