🚒 Understanding the Fire Assessment Resolution Process

The Initial and Final Assessment Resolutions are two separate steps in the City’s annual fire assessment process.

The Initial Assessment Resolution establishes the maximum possible rate, approves the preliminary assessment roll, schedules a public hearing, and provides notice to property owners.

The Final Assessment Resolution determines the final rate based on the approved budget, adopts the final assessment roll, and authorizes collection.

Please note: The DeFuniak Springs City Council has not set or approved a final fire assessment amount at this time.
