A recent poll shows that 38% of Americans consider themselves proud to be American and I find that statistic shocking. That nearly 4 out of every ten people inhabiting this decaying empire are so thoroughly brainwashed or subject to Stockholm syndrome that they feel pride in it.

The average lifespan of an empire is 250 years, and on this day the United States of AmeriKKKa turns 246. Though 1619 is a more accurate date to count from as it acknowledges the true founding of this colonial racist farce.

It’s time to accept reality and demand a better tomorrow, free of an imperial war machine, a theocratic scotus and a near daily erosion of our most basic dignities.

Today’s Supreme Court decision is an attack on basic human dignity and must be fought in the state house, the court house, and the streets if necessary.

13 states have trigger laws immediately criminalizing abortion and many are talking about putting criminal penalties on women for traveling to other states to seek abortions.

I immediately call on Mayor Cohen Barnes to ask the council to introduce and pass an ordinance prohibiting the dekalb police department from providing assistance to out of state law enforcement seeking to prosecute women who have sought refuge in our community on their way to access healthcare.

Women’s rights are human rights, we WILL NOT COMPLY.

I won’t lie, this season has been very rough on me. Between working up to 60 hours a week at a physically demanding job, holiday stress, and everything else going on, I am burned out. I pray that for everyone in our community 2022 brings peace and healing as much as I hope that it does for me.
