For the past several years, Oakwood Cemetery has been quietly visited by our very own "Flower Fairy."

Each spring, as if by magic, colorful flowers begin appearing in planters throughout the cemetery. Empty pots that sat waiting for attention are suddenly bursting with blooms, bringing beauty, comfort, and a touch of joy to everyone who visits.

While the Flower Fairy prefers to work behind the scenes, we know that this transformation doesn't happen by magic alone. It takes time, care, dedication, and plenty of watering! Thanks to this special person's efforts, every planter is filled and lovingly cared for throughout the season.

On behalf of the cemetery and the many families and visitors who enjoy these beautiful displays, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our Flower Fairy. Your kindness and generosity make Oakwood Cemetery a more beautiful and welcoming place for all.

Thank you for helping our gardens—and our spirits—bloom!

🌿 Peace Park is coming to life at Oakwood Cemetery!

New sod and benches have recently been installed, and a columbarium is planned for this fall. The project will eventually include columbarium niches, an ossuary, and, in a future phase, a scattering garden.

Although Peace Park is not yet open, burial lots remain available in the historic section of Oakwood Cemetery at current rates through July 31:

⚪ Traditional burial lot: $700
⚪ Cremation lot: $350
⚪ Perpetual care fee: $100
⚪ Locate fee: $100

📅 Beginning Aug. 1, updated pricing will take effect and will include new burial and interment options available at Peace Park.
