We had a great turnout at our latest Fun Jam in the Park at Welsh Park! Families and volunteers came together for a great evening of connection, laughter, fun, and phenomenal music in one of DeKalb’s beautiful parks. 🌳🎵
A huge shoutout to Adventure Works of DeKalb County, Inc. , University of Illinois Extension, DeKalb County ROE, J.F. Glidden Homestead, Family Service Agency of DeKalb County Youth Programming, and Ben Gordon Center for bringing out some great activities!
And big thanks to The Salvation Army Mobile Canteen and Crumbl Cookies for keeping everyone fueled with delicious treats! 🌭🍪

We’ll also be popping up at Liberty Park on July 9 from 5–7 PM; you won’t want to miss it!

The community is invited to two Juneteenth events:
• The Juneteenth Fest will be held on Friday, June 19, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Van Buer Plaza.
• The Juneteenth Community Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 20, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Lions Park.

DeKalb municipal offices will be closed Friday, June 19, for the Juneteenth holiday. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday. The community is invited to two Juneteenth events:

Not only did the DeKalb Illinois Fire Department stop by with their truck, but they also let the kids use the hose!🧑‍🚒
