To name a few, we have established a housing liaison program to engage students in the residence halls to support and educate on life skills. In addition, we have cross trained officers to serve as paramedics to improve medical response time for critical care. Furthermore, our department is home to one of the nation's largest university police K-9 explosive handler detection teams to prepare and secure for large scale events on campus and in the community. We work closely with the City of DeKalb Police and other law enforcement agencies to proactively reduce crime and address quality of life issues in our community. We treat all citizens with dignity and respect while providing fair and impartial police and public safety services to the University and DeKalb community.
