The Del City Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Kevin Hill as our inductee into the Del City Hall of Fame, to be honored on October 23, 2026!

A lifelong Del City resident and proud graduate of Del City High School’s Class of 1981, Kevin Hill has dedicated his life to education, military service, ministry, and serving the young people and families of his community.

After graduating from Del City High School, Hill attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University on an athletic scholarship, where he competed in football and track. Following college, he began his career in education in 1986 as a physical education teacher and coach at Epperly Heights Elementary School.

What began as a career in coaching ultimately became a lifelong calling to education. Hill went on to serve as an assistant principal at six schools throughout the Mid-Del school district before returning to Epperly Heights as principal in 2005.

He would serve as principal of Epperly Heights for 18 years, making him the longest-serving principal in the school’s history. His career in public education spanned 38 years, touching the lives of thousands of students, families, teachers, and community members. Public records and Mid-Del documents confirm Hill’s longstanding leadership at Epperly Heights.

Hill’s commitment to service extended well beyond education.

In November 1997, at the age of 35, he joined the Oklahoma Air National Guard. During his 25 years of military service, he held numerous leadership positions, including Medical Materiel Journeyman, Chaplain’s Assistant, First Sergeant for the 137th Air Wing and 137th Logistics Readiness Squadron, and an advisor and mentor to members of Student Flight. He later served in the Force Support Squadron as both Fitness Superintendent and Food Operations Superintendent.

Hill also deployed overseas, including a seven-month deployment to the Middle East in 2020 in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel. His military service earned him numerous awards and decorations, including the Meritorious Service Medal.

His commitment to serving others has continued through his work in ministry and the community. Hill serves as a Pastor and Praise Leader at Praise Assembly Ministries and has received numerous honors for his service, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for community service and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree.

Perhaps Hill’s most enduring legacy, however, is his commitment to helping young people succeed.

His family recently established a nonprofit organization focused on supporting students at Del City High School. Among its first efforts was helping provide championship rings for the Del City High School boys basketball team following their Class 5A state championship.

From athletics to education, from the classroom to military service, and from ministry to community leadership, Kevin Hill has spent his life investing in people and helping the next generation reach its potential.

His dedication to Del City and its young people represents exactly what the Del City Hall of Fame is intended to recognize: a lifetime of achievement, leadership, service, and commitment to the community.

The Del City Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome Kevin Hill into the Del City Hall of Fame!

Join us October 23, 2026, as we celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of Kevin Hill.
