The Unit hosts the following teams; a Color (Honor) Guard, Armed Regulation, Unarmed Regulation, Exhibition , Service, Marksmanship, Athletic and Academic teams. The academic teams have consistently been ranked in the top fifty of the nation, competing against over 3000 NJROTC teams world-wide. The Eagle Navy provides Color Guard for every home sporting event always promoting patriotism. In spite of its hectic academic and team schedule, the cadets have always found the time to perform a myriad of community service functions and fund raisers and was awarded the Volunteer Organization of the Year award by the American Red Cross in 2012, the Distinguished Unit award, and Unit Achievement awards by the Navy. The cadets have raised thousands of dollars for the Special Olympics, provided holiday meals to the less fortunate, decorated the elderly homes for Christmas and provided monetary and physical assistance to disaster (tornado/flooding) victims throughout the years. In recent years the Eagle Navy was responsible for the rededication of the Robert F Kalsu Memorial Football Stadium. The Cadets annually “run
The Game day” football from DCHS to Rose Field for the rivalry MWC- DC football game. Additionally the Eagle Navy celebrates April as leadership training month instituting “leadership luncheon huddles “ bring in guest speakers. The Unit continues to grow and with the continued outstanding support of the Mid-Del/DCHS administration, staff, and teachers, the DCHS NJROTC will have a long life in Del City.
