To recognize the services of the late fire Capt. Patrick Giannetto and outgoing leader of the San Dieguito River Park JPA, Mayor Tracy Martinez presented proclamations Giannetto’s sister, Kathleen Perrotta, and to outgoing River Park Executive Director Shawna Anderson.

Another sign of summer—junior lifeguards! The first of four two-week sessions started last week. Run by Del Mar's Community Services Department, the program serves ages 9-15. The Super A Academy, for 14- and 15-year-olds, preps participants to work as seasonal lifeguards.
