This weekend is the Delafield Area Chamber of Commerce Block Party. The event will be held in the municipal lot off Dopkins St in downtown. The municipal lot and Dopkins Street will be closed for the duration of the event.

From 4pm to 12:30am Main St and Milwaukee St will be closed west of Genesee St. Main St will be open at Wells St. On Thursday, the roads will open at approximately 9:30pm. Specific event information is available from the Delafield Area Chamber of Commerce. Street parking is available throughout downtown while available. Parking for a fee that supports the Delafield Arts Foundation is available at the Fish Hatchery Sports Complex.

Free motorcycle parking is available on Milwaukee St west of Genesee St.

There is no public parking in Liberty Park.

Happy 250th Birthday America! The Delafield 4th of July parade is Saturday! The parade route will begin at Oneida St and Division St behind City Hall, turn east on Main St and turn south on North Lapham Peak Rd to the American Legion.

⏰The parade will begin at 10AM.

🚧 Main St from Oneida St to N Lapham Peak Rd and N Lapham Peak Rd to the American Legion will be closed.

Nagawicka Lake Incident
Date: 06/13/2026

On 6/13/26, at approximately 12:36 pm, Officers from the City of Delafield Police Department responded to reports of a possible “drowning” at the Nagawicka County Boat Launch, located at 651 Highway 83 in the City of Delafield. Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined a boat occupied by five individuals was on Lake Nagawicka when one individual entered the water at the north end of the lake and did not resurface. Search and rescue teams were dispatched throughout the lake to locate the individual. Unfortunately, the individual was located and pronounced deceased on scene. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the individual.

The victim was identified as a 38-year-old male from Milwaukee, WI.

The City of Delafield Police Department was assisted in their efforts by the following agencies:

Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
Waukesha Police Department
Chenequa Police Department
Lac La Belle Police Department
New Berlin - WI Police Department

Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office

The City of Delafield Police Department as well as the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are handling the investigation.
