Don't miss your chance to dispose of hazardous household items, electronics, appliances & tires. Walworth County’s Clean Sweep is happening June 26 (3:30 to 5:30 p.m.) and June 27 (8 a.m. to noon) at Walworth County Public Works, W4097 County Road NN, in Elkhorn. No registration is required.

What’s accepted and when?
β€’ On Friday, June 26, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., residents may dispose of household hazardous waste. Acceptable hazardous waste products are those labeled caustic, acid, flammable, danger, warning, or poison.

β€’ On Saturday, June 27, from 8 a.m. to noon, residents may dispose of household hazardous waste plus electronics, TVs, appliances, and tires.

Who can attend? Walworth, Waukesha, and Jefferson County residents

How much does it cost? Household hazardous waste is free. Most electronics and computers can be recycled for free with the following exceptions (cash only):

β€’ All TVs: $10 each
β€’ Computer monitors: $5 each
β€’ Mini fridges, small AC units, and dehumidifiers: $5 each
β€’ Refrigerators and freezers: $10 each; all other appliances are free
β€’ Tires with 20-inch rims or smaller: The cost is $5 each for tires without rims and $10 each for tires with rims.

Friends and neighbors: we are currently engaged in a search effort for one of our citizens who is missing. We understand you want to help and we love you for that, but we really need the area clear so we can easily identify any sightings.

Please give us some space and time in the area around Spring Grove cemetery, around Comus Lake, near Comus drive, and north of Elmhurst Avenue.

Please help us that way.
