I enjoyed a quick trip to the Dunn County Sheriff's Office in Menomonie, Wisconsin today. On behalf of the County Law Enforcement Professionals of Wisconsin, I presented a $2,000 scholarship to Teagan Mayer. She is the daughter of Travis and Lacey Mayer. Travis is a Captain and Lacey is an administrative assistant with the Dunn County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Kevin Bygd was present for the presentation. Congratulations to Teagan and good luck with your future!

It was fun to participate in the Wisconsin Special Olympics fund raiser at Duncan Donuts in Delavan. I made it up to the roof top and enjoyed getting 3 K9 teams to help in the fundraising. There were medal winning Olympians in the crowd and I made a contribution of $1000, on behalf of the County Law Enforcement Professionals of Wisconsin, to Val Donnan of the Wisconsin Special Olympics organization. Thank you to the Wisconsin Capital police bomb K9 unit and City of Delavan K9 team for helping out. You certainly were a "hit" to the crowd!
