Fellow DWG residents......the smoke created from the Canadian wildfires is getting really bad in the northern states including Pennsylvania. Air quality will continue to get worse over the next 48 hours. Please stay inside if you can especially if you have a breathing disability. Hopefully the rain predicted for the weekend will push the smoke out of our area. Please stay safe!

Fellow DWG residents, some of you may have noticed increased bear sightings this year in town. Because of the multiple sightings and their location I decided to call the game commission to see if trapping and relocation is needed. While the commission decides, they did give me some suggestions that may help to keep them out of town.
1. Removing food sources from your yard. Bring in bird feeders at night and keep garbage cans closed tight or put away.
2. Call the game commission if you have a sighting so they can keep track and decide if they need to relocate. 833-742-9453.
Please be safe and keep a look out when in your yard. They will usually avoid you unless provoked or if a mother has cubs.

The rain didn't stop our 23 annual Founders Day. The train arrived from Steamtown with about 62 visitors, we had a handful of antique cars and we unveiled our very own Keystone created by local artists Jessica Delfino and Jill Swersie. The Village Farmer had its duck race. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a wonderful day despite the weather!
