Last week, we welcomed over 60 professionals who support children ages 0–5 to The Byxbe Building for a day of learning, connection, and collaboration. This free event, hosted by Delaware County Family and Children First Council's Early Intervention Committee, brought together incredible partners from across Delaware County. Those partners included Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Delaware Public Health District, Action for Children, Help Me Grow, LEADS Head Start, and more.

The goal was to strengthen the network of programs and services that help young children and their families thrive, because when we learn from one another, we connect families with the right resources faster and more effectively. Thank you to our amazing speakers for sharing their expertise, vendors, and to everyone who joined us for snacks, conversation, and a few fun door prizes along the way!

Did you know that Cornerstone of Hope-Columbus, Ohio offers free grief support services to youth and families in the Delaware/Morrow County area? Thanks to financial assistance from Delaware-Morrow Mental Health & Recovery Services Board, children and teens can attend grief support groups right here in Delaware. Grief can be overwhelming for children and teens, but they don’t have to face it alone.

We’re excited to share that our Youth Bereavement Program now has its own dedicated page on our website! There, you’ll find information about the free grief support services available to children, teens, and families in the Delaware and Morrow County area.

Thanks to the generous support of the Delaware and Morrow County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board (Delaware-Morrow Mental Health), these services are provided at no cost to families, helping ensure no child has to navigate grief alone.
