🍄‍🟫 Join the Ohio Woodland Stewards program for a Growing Culinary Mushrooms Workshop on Aug. 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Ohio State Mansfield campus.

This hands-on workshop will teach participants how to grow culinary mushrooms on hardwood logs. You'll drill, inoculate and take home your own shiitake log while learning the basics of outdoor mushroom cultivation.

Back To School Mode: Activated🎒
We had a blast partnering with United Way of Delaware County Ohio for the Supplies For Scholars event. Kyna and Meredith (our summer 4-H program assistant) were on-site connecting with Delaware County families to share the ultimate recipe for school year success!

Here is how we helped students fuel up:
- Healthy Habits: Kyna shared the importance of mastering your daily routine, building strong study habits, and fueling up with balanced nutrition for success throughout the school year.
- Balanced Nutrition: Families walked away with budget-friendly, nutritious recipes for breakfast, lunch, and snack options.
- Eco-Friendly Tips: We discussed ways to practice sustainability when packing lunches from home—and even handed out reusable sandwich baggies to help get students started!
- Hands-on Fun: Scholars had the opportunity to build their own healthy snack-mix bags at our interactive station.
- 4-H Opportunities: Meredith shared all the awesome ways youth can grow and become involved with Delaware County 4-H!

The webinar will be held Monday, July 27 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom. The program will help participants move beyond uncertainty and begin building a clear, thoughtful plan for the future of their farm and family.

The session will be taught by David Marrison, OSU Extension Field Specialist in Farm Management, and Robert Moore, Attorney with the OSU Agricultural & Resource Law Program, bringing together both farm management and legal expertise to help families understand the process from multiple perspectives.
