Kyna, an OSU Extension community partner on the Hunger Alliance, stopped by Fresh Start this afternoon to grab a sweet treat and support our local community! ☕️

There is still time to stop by today (10/2) before 3:00 PM to grab a drink, enjoy a treat, and make an impact on hunger in Delaware County.

Be sure to say hi to United Way of Delaware County Ohio and other Hunger Alliance partners who are excited to share all the great work we're doing together!

We are so happy to have Emma!

While studying radiologic sciences and therapy at The Ohio State University, Emmalee Facemyer couldn’t help but find it weird to be pursuing a career in the medical field.

Having grown up in 4-H programs and while working as a florist during school, Facemyer’s ideal career path was always rooted in agriculture. But it wasn’t until a recommendation from her mother that she realized where her true passion lay within the field, ultimately leading her to a role as an extension educator for agriculture and natural resources with her alma mater’s Delaware County Extension office.

In the role, she answers all horticulture questions presented to the office, whether related to soil pests or plant and disease identification. Facemyer also helps to coordinate the Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV) program, leading the internship class and helping with any administrative duties to develop master gardeners.
