2026 Yorkshire/Delevan Summer Recreation Program Is Accepting Applications

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and responsible individuals for the 2026 Summer Recreation Program.
• Accepting applications for Recreation Staff
• Program dates; July 6, 2026 – August 13, 2026
• Program runs Mon-Thursday, 9:30 – 2 pm
• All positions are part time
• Adult-Child Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications required (training provided and paid by the Program)
• Must be 16 years of age to apply
• Must submit to a background check
• Must submit a copy of your immunization record
Send a letter of intent and Cattaraugus County Civil Service Employment Application to ; Town of Yorkshire Summer Recreation Program, P.O. Box 6, Delevan, New York 14042.
Application deadline is March 31, 2026.
Applications can be downloaded from the County website at;
Cattco.gov, or they are available at the Yorkshire Town Clerk Office’s. Hours are; Mon, Tuesday, Thursday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, and Wednesday 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Burn Ban issued until October 15, 2025 due to ongoing drought conditions.

Governor Hochul, with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, announced a statewide burn ban in effect starting today, October 2 due to increased fire risk and continued dry conditions.

Coming in the summer of 2025, the Town of Yorkshire and the Village of Delevan will hold their summer recreation program from July 7th to August 14th, Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 2:00 pm for ages 5 to 13. The cost is $30 per child, $75 for a family of 3 or more for town residents, and $100 per child for out-of-town residents. The program is open to the first 50 sign-ups. Lunch and breakfast are available for those who choose to sign up. There will be 2 outgoing field trips on Thursdays. Upcoming events include Gellyball, bounce houses, daily games, and arts and crafts for your child in the Village Park.

The sign-up dates are Wednesdays from 5 to 7 pm at the Yorkshire Town Hall on May 28th, June 4th, and June 25th.

Delevan-Yorkshire Recreation Program Sign-Up

The final Sign-Up will be Held June 5, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm at the Yorkshire Town Hall, 82 Main Street, Delevan, N.Y.

NOTE: There will be “NO” sign-ups accepted after June 5th.

Children must be 5 to 13 years old to register.

For the Town/Village residents, there is a fee of $30 per child, or for a family of 3 or more $75.

(Non-resident program fee is $275 per child)

The following documentation must be brought at sign-up;

1. Copy of immunization record

2. Proof of residency

3. Proof of age

The program will run Monday-Thursday at the Delevan Village Park

9:30am – 2:00 pm

July 8 – August 15, 2024

There will be a Swim program being offered for the 2024 program.

The 2024 program will be limited to 50 children.
