StockMarket :- Suzlon Energy, which is one of the largest companies in the country that makes wind turbines, has strengthened its partnership with Tata Power.Tata Power has given Suzlon Energy a contract for 400 megawatts of EPC engineering, procurement, and construction work.Now, the total joint venture between the two companies has crossed more than 1 gigawatt.Currently, Suzlon Energy's shares are trading at 57.77 on the BSE, down by 0.24%, and it has been in the red zone for the third day in a row.Previously, it had fallen by more than 2% over two consecutive days.
This new order from Tata Power is part of Suzlon Energy's new DevCo business model.
This is Suzlon's fourth order from Tata Power and its second repeat order in the last 12 months.According to a filing by the company on June 25, the project will be carried out in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, where Suzlon's order book is now close to 1 gigawatt.The company's installed base in Andhra Pradesh is now 1.8 gigawatts, which accounts for 28.44% of its total installed capacity in South India.
In this new project, Suzlon will supply 127 units of its S 144 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.15 megawatts.
The company will take care of all aspects including land acquisition, turbine delivery, balance of plant (BoP), substation (PSS), extra-high voltage (EHV) transmission line commissioning, and operations and maintenance services.
Suzlon Energy's shares have been a big shock to investors in the past year.
On July 16, 2025, the shares were trading at 68.30 on the BSE, which was a record high for the company.Within eight months, the share price fell by 44.11% to 38.17 on March 9, 2026, which is the lowest level in a year for the company's shares.
