On April 1, 2026, Delhi Police Department received a complaint from a local resident about an encounter with an ADT technician. The customer stated ADT was called to verify the technician employment and the customer stated that ADT advised that this person was not a technician. The customer advised that ADT customer support advised them to contact local law enforcement.

The customer came to Delhi Police Department to file a complaint. Delhi Police Department called ADT to verify this technician employment and was not able to verify he was actually a technician.

Good morning, I was misinformed that Delhi High School and Delhi Charter School both had home football games. Delhi High School will be traveling to Pensacola, Florida to play on Friday. Therefore, children should Trick or Treat on Friday, October 31, 2025. Parents, please make sure that you check your children's candy before allowing them to eat their candy. Please make sure the packaging is not tampered with before they eat the candy. Also, it is getting dark earlier so make sure your children wear clothing that is reflective. Thank you and sorry for the mix up.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!!

Good evening, Citizens of Delhi, Louisiana, my office has received several calls about commercial vehicles (eighteen wheelers) on our city streets. The construction that is being done at LA 17 and US 80 has LA 17 blocked. Commercial vehicles are being diverted unto our city streets. The commercial vehicles are tearing down street signs, pulling down power lines resulting in power outages, and pulling down internet lines. Delhi Police Department is attempting to stop as many of the commercial vehicles from driving on our city streets possibly disrupting power to homes during the hottest part of the summer. Chief Roy Williams has reached out to Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development project engineer to seek some help with this matter. I appreciate all the calls to my office expressing your concerns with this matter. Please continue to call Delhi Police Department if you see any commercial vehicles on our city streets, all your help is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Chief Roy Williams
